Future Tense

The future tense expresses plans, predictions, or intentions: • After consonant stems → add 을 거예요 - 먹다 → 먹을 거예요 (will eat) - 읽다 → 읽을 거예요 (will read) • After vowel stems → add ㄹ 거예요 - 가다 → 갈 거예요 (will go) - 보다 → 볼 거예요 (will see) • ㄹ-ending stems → just add 거예요 - 만들다 → 만들 거예요 (will make) Note: 거예요 comes from 것 (thing) + 이에요, literally "it is a thing that..."
