Learn to use adjectives to modify nouns and the particle 도.

Noun Modification and 도 (also/too)

Adj stem + ㄴ/은 + N | N + 도

To use an adjective BEFORE a noun (like "big house"), you need to modify the adjective: • Drop 다 from the dictionary form • Add ㄴ if stem ends in vowel: 크다 → 큰 • Add 은 if stem ends in consonant: 작다 → 작은 Examples: • 큰 집 = big house (크다 → 큰) • 작은 고양이 = small cat (작다 → 작은) • 좋은 사람 = good person (좋다 → 좋은) The particle 도 means "also" or "too": • 저도 = me too • 이것도 = this too

Small book

작다 → 작은 (drop 다, add 은) + 책

좋은 친구

joeun chingu

Good friend

좋다 → 좋은 + 친구

저도 학생이에요

jeodo haksaeng-ieyo

I am also a student

저 (I) + 도 (also) + 학생이에요

이것도 좋아요

igeotdo joayo

This is also good

이것 (this) + 도 (also) + 좋아요
